Little Acorns Preschool Group
Join our gentle preschool group for children 3-5 years old. Little Sprouts is a fun social skills group that was designed to introduce a preschool environment and pre-school type activities to children struggling with transitions and following routines. This introductory class introduces the concepts of following routines, group instructions and friendship development . In addition to individual goal setting the class incorporates age appropriate pro-social behaviours such as parallel play, sharing and turn taking! As this group is designed and supervised by a BCBA you may use autism funding.
*Please note there is not 1:1 support in this group. Depending on the number of children we will have 1 extra person to support the group leader. Children must be able to tolerate being around others without engaging in any dangerous type behaviours (e.g., aggression to self or others, elopement). If you have a child who would benefit from a positive behaviour support plan around dangerous behaviours we are happy to work with you outside of the group environment. Free play
Welcome circle
Structured group activity
Snack
Supervised Free Play (gives children a chance to practice what they’ve been learning)
